300K Brevet, 7:00 AM, Spartanburg, SC. A scenic and rolling ride through the foothills. Sponsored by the Freewheelers of Spartanburg and sanctioned by Randonneurs USA. For more information:

April 20, 2008

The 5th Annual "Best Dam Ride,"  the ride offers options of 25, 60, 80 mile routes and a 100 mile century option. Also, for the first time this year, there will be a 15 mile off road course on the Historic Bartram Trail. The bike ride is around J. Strom Thurmond Dam at Clark's Hill and covers two states, three counties, and twelve communities.

 Aiken to Ride Century. The ride will consist of 100, 62, and 25 miles loops covering some of our club's favored quiet roads in Aiken County. This ride will benefit the PCC.

Bicycle Friendly Columbia, Bike & Bite A brief 35 min. lunch break ride before discussing local bicycling issues. RSVP required for lunch.

 

 

May 17, 2008

Issaqueena's Last Ride- May 17, 2008 in Walhalla SC a strenuous century from Walhalla  with 8900 cumulative feet of climbing. It includes a metric century that does the Whitewater Falls climb.  There are  32 & 66 mile rides that do not go into the mountains.

MS 150 Breakaway to the Beach Bike Tour, 20th Anniversary Celebration, September, 2008. The Palmetto Cycling Coalition (PCC) has a team participating in this event. Carolina Cyclers Fall Century.  This ride is  to  benefit the PCC.

The 8th Annual Tigerville Bike Trek is ready to roll on October 6 starting from North Greenville University in Tigerville, SC.  The Ride benefits the Greater Spartanburg Optimist Club’s Security Blanket Project and the Palmetto Cycling Coalition’s bicycle safety and education programs.  Registration includes custom t-shirt, lunch, rest stops and sag support.

October ??, 2008, 18th Ride for Raptors- Electric City Cycling Club’s premier cycling event  25, 66, 100 miles from the Pendleton square. Door prizes, a town Festival and birds of prey on display. Benefits the Carolina Raptor Center for the rehabilitation and re-establishment of birds of prey.

Pathways Connect's Century 13, 28, 63, or 100 miles. Yemassee, SC.

 

November ??, 2008

Tour de Camden 30 mile, 50 mile and metric century. The ride starts at 9 AM and leaves from Historic Camden, 222 Broad Street, Camden, SC. This ride benefits the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation and Habitat for Humanity.

December 3-8, 2008,  FestiVELO de Charleston There will be four days of rides from the rural areas of Berkley County. More information TBA.
