2012 Georgia-lina Bike Summit: Save the Date!

We are pleased to announce the 2012 Georgia-lina Bike Summit will be held in Augusta on October 19-21 this year. Hosted by Georgia Bikes, Wheel Movement, IMBA, SORBA and, of course, the Palmetto Cycling Coalition, the summit marks the first such partnership between the states. In this collaborative effort, we will share lessons, difficulties and successes with the goal of creating a strong community of advocates and improving bicycling across our states’ borders. Augusta State University has graciously offered to host the event.

We are still deep into the planning process for the summit, so we ask that you stay tuned for details and updates on things like keynote speakers, schedules and event registration. We could use your help, too! If you or someone you know would like to sponsor the summit or has a program, campaign or presentation that would make a good breakout session, please let us know! Breakout session proposals must be submitted by June 30th to be considered.

Whether you are a planner, advocate, elected official or a passionate citizen who wants to learn what you can do to make both the Palmetto and Peach States more bike friendly, we want you to attend!
