The PCC attended the National Bike Summit this year on March 6-9! An annual conference and lobby opportunity with the League of American Bicyclists, this year the SC delegation included a great group of 4:
- John Green, Cycle Center bike shop owner, Columbia
- Meredith Ridgon, Bike Walk Greenville board chair, Greenville
- Josh Cady, Lees-McRae College, Aiken; Criminal Justice major and Cycling minor, Banner Elk, NC
- Amy Johnson Ely, Palmetto Cycling Coalition, Columbia
Check out the article about the trip by a visiting Lees McRae College student, who visited with other students (Josh above) as part of a requirement for those pursuing their cycling minor.
Then read this Bike League article about the presentation on Rumble Strips, written by PCC’s Amy Johnson Ely, also co-presenting during that session
