Complete Streets Workshop in South Carolina

Despite some of the setbacks South Carolina has seen in bike safety in the past year, PCC along with ESMMSC is moving forward with plans to create a statewide Complete Streets Campaign in South Carolina. In order to get started with this goal, we’ve identified various stakeholders throughout the state who would be instrumental in realizing our vision for a healthier and safer South Carolina.

Along with AARP and ESMMSC, PCC is organizing a statewide Complete Streets workshop to be held on November 16th at the Columbia Farmer’s Market in West Columbia, SC. The workshop will be comprised of two sessions, AM and PM. The AM session will take place from 9AM – 12PM and focus on Complete Streets Introduction and Development. During the lunch hour, breakout sessions will be held so that attendees can discuss and problem solve. The PM session will take place from 1PM – 4PM, and emphasize Complete Streets Implementation.

This workshop is an invaluable tool for any community or individual interested in learning more about Complete Streets or perhaps implementing Complete Streets within their community. Please join us and learn more about how we can all work together to improve the health and safety of our state.
