Making Rock Hill more bicycle friendly

It is always quite exciting to witness the bicycle advancements happening in communities around South Carolina from our perspective as a statewide organization. This is a source of endless inspiration and collectively makes a difference in propelling our work on a statewide level.

Recently, several members of Bike Rock Hill, a city-led organization working to make Rock Hill more bicycle friendly, presented their progress at the American College of Sports Medicine Annual Meeting earlier this month. These individuals, several of whom include Winthrop University faculty members, evaluated data from their bikeability survey and compiled the information in the following presentation (which can be viewed as a pdf here).

The conference had about 5,000 attendees from around the world, and Rock Hill was well represented by this dedicated and passionate group of individuals. We’re very proud of their efforts!
