National Bike Summit, 2017

Let’s go!

This annual conference, the largest gathering of bike advocates in the country, is where you can learn best practices in bike advocacy – and what’s front and center for innovative bikeway designs, policies, and educational programs. Hear from the best of the best across the nation!

The early bird registration was just extended through this Friday, January 6th.

PCC serves as SC state coordinator for this annual bike advocacy conference and federal lobby opportunity. Contact us with any questions.  Typically, some PCC board and staff attend, in addition to a few local advocates.

The former Alliance for Biking/Walking Leadership Retreat, for the first time, will be integrated with the National Bike Summit – on the last day – Thursday. It’s now called the Active Transportation Leadership Institute. This training opportunity is probably only offered once every 2 years.  Here is the basic schedule:

Monday, March 6: summit/conference
Tuesday, March 7: summit/conference
Wednesday, March 8: lobby day
Thursday, March 9: Active Transportation Leadership Institute

There is potential to coordinate travel and AirBnB stays among SC attendees.  Contact us about this also.
